Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how IDEA I B.V. (trading as "Patricia Barrios"), registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 85451800, VAT number NL863627729B01, registered address Jade 44, 1703 EP Heerhugowaard, the Netherlands ("we", "us", "our"), collects, uses, and protects personal data when you visit patriciabarrios.com (the "Site") or contact us. We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Dutch implementing act (AVG).
1. Who is responsible for your data
IDEA I B.V. is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy-related question or request, contact us at patricia@patriciabarrios.com.
2. What data we collect, and why
| When | Data collected | Purpose & legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| You use the contact form | Name, email address, and the message you write | To respond to your inquiry. Legal basis: your consent, and our legitimate interest in responding to business inquiries. |
| You use the AI Advisor tool | Your answers to the questionnaire (business type, target market, revenue range, challenge, and any additional context you type) | To generate a personalized service recommendation. Your answers are sent to our AI provider (see section 4) to generate the response; they are not stored by us afterward. Legal basis: your consent (you choose to use the tool). |
| You browse the Site | Pages viewed, approximate location (derived from IP address), device and browser type, referral source — collected via Google Analytics, only if you accept our cookie banner | To understand how the Site is used and improve it. Legal basis: your consent, given through the cookie banner. Google Consent Mode is used so that no analytics cookies are set until you accept. |
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising or profiling beyond the analytics described above.
3. Cookies
The Site uses a single category of non-essential cookies: analytics cookies (Google Analytics, GA4), used to measure traffic and understand which content is useful to visitors. These cookies are only activated after you click "Accept" on the cookie banner shown on your first visit. If you click "Decline", no analytics cookies are set, and your visit is not measured. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser's site data for patriciabarrios.com, which will show the banner again on your next visit.
4. Third parties who may process your data
We use a small number of service providers to operate the Site. Each acts as a data processor on our behalf, under their own data processing agreements:
- Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) — website traffic analytics, only with your consent. Google's own privacy policy applies to how it handles this data.
- EmailJS — delivers the contact form submission to our inbox.
- Anthropic — processes the answers you submit to the AI Advisor tool in order to generate a recommendation. This data is used only to generate your response and is not used by us to train any model or build a profile of you.
- Railway — our hosting provider, which processes standard server logs (such as IP address and request data) as part of running the Site.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where this occurs, they do so under appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. How long we keep your data
- Contact form submissions: retained for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and any resulting business relationship, and no longer than 24 months of inactivity thereafter.
- AI Advisor questionnaire answers: not stored by us after the recommendation is generated and displayed to you.
- Analytics data: retained by Google Analytics according to our configured retention setting, currently 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted.
6. Your rights under the GDPR/AVG
If you are located in the EEA (or otherwise protected by the GDPR), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal
- Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority — in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at patricia@patriciabarrios.com. We will respond within one month, as required by law.
7. Data security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse, including transmitting data over encrypted (HTTPS) connections and limiting access to the data described in this policy to what is necessary to provide our services.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
9. Contact
Questions about this policy or how we handle your data can be sent to patricia@patriciabarrios.com or via the contact form.
